Our water reclaim and treatment system.
In the early 1990's, Power Washing Services worked with BASMAA, RWQCB, the City of San Jose, and a host of businesses involved in the pressure washing industry. Together we established a working document, or "Best Management Practices", for the pressure washing industry.
The regulations that have been established help protect our waterways by restricting what types of runoff are permitted to enter the common storm drain. So when we clean a trash enclosure area, the runoff is diverted away from the storm drain, which probably flows to a nearby creek. We will either haul that water back to our shop and process it through our permitted reclaim unit, or in some cases, small amounts of water can be safely diverted to landscaping there on-site.
